Swimming with whale sharks is one of those experiences that you can have many times over and enjoy it just as much every time. For anyone putting together their travel or wildlife Bucket List this is one experience that should be up near the top. Fortunately for us we have the perfect place to do it only a short plane ride away. Every year between March and August approximately 500 whale sharks migrate to the northern part of the Western Australian coastline.

We headed out with 3 Islands Whale Shark Dives in Exmouth for the second year in a row, and again had the most amazing day. Not only did we have a fantastic encounter with a giant whale shark, we also were lucky enough to come across a couple of curious manta rays cruising around the reef.

Anyone else been lucky enough to swim alongside these amazing animals? Let us know where you did it.
