Probably best known for being the ‘Polar Bear capital of the world‘, Churchill in northern Canada is also one of the best places in the world to see the Northern lights and for two months a year is home to 3000 curious beluga whales. Churchill really is a nature lovers dream and also a great place to experience so many bucket list items in one place.

The town itself may not be much to look upon but head off the main road and you can see some breathtaking scenery. Take a stroll to one of the beaches, visit the Canadian Huskies made famous by their unique relationship with the polar bears or spend an afternoon at the Northern Studies Centre.
