Explore Borneo’s Rainforest

The Danum Valley is area of largely primary rainforest in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It has an incredible diversity of tropical flora and fauna, including the amazing Bornean orangutans, gibbons, mousedeer, clouded leopards, multiple endemic bird species and very few East Sumatran rhinoceros.

The valley is home to over 15,000 plant species and in places the forest canopy reaches a height of over 70 meters.

The area actually holds unique status in the sense that before it became a conservation area there were no human settlements within the area, meaning that hunting, logging and other human interference was non existent making the area almost unique.
