Driving South Africa’s iconic Garden Route is truly a Bucket List item. Set in the stunning surroundings of South Africa’s Western and Eastern Cape the route takes you from Mossel Bay in the west, then along the coast through George, Wilderness, Knysna, Plettenburg Bay, Storms River and on to Jeffrey’s Bay in the east.

We did the Garden route in December for the best of the summer weather. Our Highlights…

  • Mossel Bay – Swimming and diving in specially developed ocean pools
  • Oudtshoorn – Wild Meerkat viewing
  • Wilderness – Wilderness Beach, restaurants and Map of Africa viewpoint
  • Knysna – Knysna Heads viewpoint
  • Plettenburg Bay – Robberg Nature Reserve
  • Storms River – Garden Route National Park, Storms River suspension bridges and Big Tree trail
  • Jeffrey’s Bay – Beaches and body surfing
