Driving through the Scandinavian Arctic Circle in the middle of winter may sound a little daunting to some. However the drive opens up the opportunity for some incredible opportunities, beautiful vistas and great wildlife. The drive from Tromso (the base for our Orca swimming adventure) to Karasjok (the destination for our husky expedition) is a 550km trip. The drive takes you from Norway, through Finland, Sweden and back into Norway. Break up the journey with a stay in the Alta Ice Hotel and take in the ski slopes of Lyngen for an unbelievable journey and lots of opportunity for to see the wonder of the Northern Lights.
