The great rift valley in Uganda. Perhaps not as famous as it’s Kenyan cousin but equally as impressive. It is often referred to as the ‘cradle of mankind’ due to the large number of early human fossil remains found here.
The valley’s location sees the Blue Mountains to the north and the Rwenzori Mountains along the Western edge. As well as being home to the stunning lakes Albert, Edward & George and a number of beautiful waterfalls. All this and the fact that the majority of the valley lies within the vast Queen Elizabeth National Park, means your bucket list trip to Uganda should definitely include a trip here.
