New York City is one of those places that you just have to visit. The list of things to do and places to go is almost endless; and while New York is a huge city it is surprisingly easy to get around. The majority of the iconic sights are all in walking distance from one another and for the rest you can easily jump on the subway.
Have a flick through the gallery below for a taste of what to expect on a self-guided walking tour around the city. In the centre make sure you get a look at the Empire State building, Chrysler building, Trump Tower, 5th Avenue, Broadway, Radio City, Times Square and Grand Central station. Then take the Highline down to Chelsea for great views of the Hudson river and a look at both the Sex and the City & Friends houses. To finish the day keep heading south and you’ll be able to see the new World Trade centre, 9/11 memorial & Wall street.
Make sure you have a look at our other posts where we give you a look at Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, the famous museums and a trip to see the Yankees!
