Robberg Nature Reserve is situated just outside Plettenburg Bay in the heart of the world famous Garden Route. Not only is it a stunning nature reserve, it is also a national monument and a world heritage site. In our opinion it is the highlight of the Garden Route. For those planning a Bucket List road trip along the Garden Route this reserve is a must. There are several trails available through the reserve, from a short 1 hour loop to a strenuous 5 hour trek. Come in whale season and there is also fantastic whale watching to go with viewing of the Cape Fur Seal colony who call this place home. Robberg is accessible from all the major towns on the route but the most convenient place is Plettenburg Bay.
