Best known as being the fastest land animal on the planet, reaching speeds of over 110km per hour, Cheetah are on of the most iconic predators on the plains. cheetah mainly prey on small antelope and tend to make their home in open grasslands, which enables them to use their incredible eyesight to spot prey over large distances.
So after missing out on seeing cheetah in South Africa, the Masai Mara afforded an excellent opportunity to spot these animals in the wild and enable us to achieve a massive experience from our Bucket List. The Mara did not disappoint when we came upon 4 young brothers relaxing in the shade, not too far from the Mara river. The Masai Mara is an incredible safari destination; not only is it home to a huge array of wildlife, but it is also the stage for one of wildlife’s greatest spectacles.
