Visit a Stone Age tomb in Ireland

The World Heritage site of Newgrange is a 5,200 year old passage tomb located in the Boyne Valley, Ireland. Built in the Stone Age this makes the structure older than Stonehenge and older the the Pyramids of Giza. There are not many structures still standing which date back this far, especially ones which are so well preserved. This makes the Boyne Valley makes this a great addition to any visit to Ireland. There are a number of tombs in the area and we would recommend visiting not only Newgrange but also the impressive tombs at Knowth and Dowth for a well rounded experience.
